Von Wunder Haus Tragedy...
On August 23, 2003 the Von Wunder Haus family suffered a
devastating tragedy. An electrical fire burned our home down, taking
with it all our Rottweilers (Boo, Markie & Demi), a couple of Clumber
Spaniels (Dodger & Holli) and a visiting Doberman Pinscher puppy
(Belle).
In a matter of 2 hours the family was trapped on the 2nd
floor. A new neighbor hearing our cries for help, brought a ladder down
and helped us out the window. Thru the grace of god Ginger made it
without much recourse. Shirly-Ann was another story. She was in a comma
for 3 weeks due to smoke inhalization. Thru time, and excellent care she
is now back to herself. Three of our 4-legged children (Clumber
Spaniels) survived the fire; Chelsea, Mouse, and Patsy. A special thanks
to Linda Duff (Briarwood
Dobermans) for the loving care she gave these girls during our time
without a home. Without her Mouse would not be here among us.
A new start...
On January 31, 2004 we finally moved into our new home on 3.1 acres of
land. On that very day, through the very capable supervision of Doug
Johnson (Clussexx),
Patsy whelped 11 lovely Clumber babies. Three of these cuties (Billie,
Cody, & Lexie) will be staying on permanently as family members.
On January 31, 2005, Valerie McGraw allowed Kaylee (Rottweiler) to join
our family. Our family is now finally complete.
This is the new beginning of Von Wunder Haus. We will be
starting back slowly. Showing and playing with the new children. Look
for us at the shows! |
